INDEPENDANT THOUGHTS.

I spent alot of time trying to decide whether to take pieces of work form various sites which i have found and collect them all here for you, or to provide links to these places. I have decided that if i was to cut and paste their works here it would be too much like plagarism, so instead i`ll just provide the links and my thoughts on each of the articles. I encourage you to find out more about these people if you find their articles interesting as i have, and have met alot of very nice and intelligent people in doing so.

One of the first articles you should read, is by a guy called Albert Camus, the article is titledThe Artist as a Witness of Freedom.. rather than try and reproduce the article here i`ll give you a link so you can visit and read the site where its at. I find his speech outstandingly good and many of the things he`s says ring true for me. Its the kinda thing you have to read through i few times to tajke it all in properly. Unlike my home pages, this article is more like a Picasso, where the brush strokes are important, as each sentence provokes another thought.

What i like in particular about this article is in the first sentence where he talks about how mankind has become ashamed of of everything-- ashamed of themselves, of being happy, of loving or creating. I believe that this is sadly true. The modesty which society has bestowed upon us, and the fear of failure, the tall poppy syndrome, has served only to stem the flow of our growth as human beings. Why are great leaders so strong because they have overcome the fear of ridicule, they have overcome worrying about what others think, and they have choosen to focus on what they believe in and enjoy. I`m not talking about political leaders, or business leaders, i`m talking about all sort`s of leaders. People who stand out from the crowd as being exceptional in someway. To stand out from the crowd takes courage, courage not to be ashamed of who you are or what you believe in.

Another good piece of work i have found is at the following link and contains Some damm good poetry.

Well too much typing on any one page looks confusing without breaks so here`s a break, and a nice picture too.
