Managing your Internet connections

All aspects of configuring and using Internet connections is managed from the Internet drawer located on the Workbench disk (SYS:). It contains a number of icons for managing your Internet connections, namely New Connection, Edit Connection, and Open Connection, as well as a number of folders, namely Connections, Action Logs, Connection Logs, Reports and Templates.

Action Logs
When you click on the "Action Logs" icon you are typically presented with an empty window because action logs typically do not have icons. We recommend that you 'Show All files' and 'View by name' to reveal the contents, and maybe increase the window size. Then Snap the Window to simplify future access.

You should now see a log file for each day that you used a connection; all connections share the same action log. It might also be worth pointing out at this time that these log files just keep on being created, and that there is no automated process for purging the old ones. If you suddenly find yourself getting low on disk space and you use your Internet connections regularly, here is a good place to look.

If you click on one of these files you will see a log something like this:

This log shows all of the activity that took place during a particular day.
