AmigaOS 4.0 - About OS4 - Commands
||To start the USB file system and open the USB stack.
USBSTART is used to manually open the USB file system and identify and USB connected devices. Unless
USBCTRL has been included in the Startup-Sequence or User-Startup, no USB devices will be
recognised until this program is run.
When adding or removing devices from the USB port, it is not necessary to close the USB file system or close the USB stack.
AmigaDOS will automatically recognise when a device is removed and when it is reconnected, as long as the USB file system
has been started.
Note: On A1-XE models, there was a manufacturing fault which affected many machines
resulting in AmigaDOS being unable to recognise when a device was disconnedted and reconnected. It is therefore recommended
that in order to overcome this fault, a powered hub should be connected to the machine's USB port and all devices connected
to the hub instead. Using the hub, all devices then behave normally.
