AmigaOS 4.0 - About OS4 - Commands

UNSETENV Internal
Purpose: To remove a global environment variable.
Format: UNSETENV [<name>]
Template: NAME
Path: Internal
UNSETENV removes the named global variable <name> from the current variable list.

With no arguments, UNSETENV lists the current variables.

Example 1:

3.OS4:> UNSETENV
Charset
ContextMenus.cfg
DefIcons.prefs
FDTRANS_HOME
Kickstart
Language
LanguageName
VBCC
Workbench
lists all of the current global environment variables.

Example 2:

3.OS4:> ECHO $Editor
SYS:Tools/MEmacs
displays the global environment variable 'Editor' that can be used with the MORE utility. 3.OS4:> UNSETENV Editor
3.OS4:> ECHO $Editor
$Editor
once the global environment variable has been removed, ECHO will simply display the variable name.
