AmigaOS 4.0 - About OS4 - Commands

Shell System Program
Purpose: To open a new AmigaShell.
Format: (none)
Template: (none)
Path: SYS:System/Shell
Clicking on the Shell icon in the System drawer uses CLI (which is the underlying command for the 'Execute Command' menu item from the Workbench) to open a new Shell using the size, stack and other characteristics as defined by the icon.

This is a Workbench-only command and cannot be run from a Shell. If you want to perform this operation from a Shell you must use either the NEWCLI or NEWSHELL commands.
