AmigaOS 4.0 - About OS4 - Commands

FIXFONTS System Program
Purpose: To update the .font files of the FONTS: directory.
Format: FIXFONTS [QUIET] [VERBOSE]
Template: QUIET/S, VERBOSE/S
Path: SYS:System/FixFonts
FIXFONTS updates the fontname.font files of the FONTS: directory.

FIXFONTS should be used whenever you make changes in the FONTS: directory, for example copying new fonts or deleting single font sizes.

Example 1:

3.OS4:> FIXFONTS runs the FixFonts program. Your disk light will come on while the FONTS: directory is updated. When the update is finished, the light will go out and a Shell prompt will appear.

Example 2:

3.OS4:> FIXFONTS VERBOSE runs the FixFonts program, but displays font information as the FONTS: directory is updated. When the update is finished, the light will go out and a Shell prompt will appear.
