AmigaOS 4.0 - About OS4 - Commands

COUNTLINES AmigaDOS
Purpose: To count how many lines a file is made of.
Format: COUNTLINES <filename> [<filename2> ...]
Template: NAME/A/M
Path: C:COUNTLINES
COUNTLINES will count the number of lines of the file(s) given in <filename> argument(s).

If several <filename> arguments are given, a sum of all line counts will be returned.

Example 1:

3.OS4:> COUNTLINES File1
273 counts the number of lines in File1.

Example 2:

3.OS4:> COUNTLINES File1 File2 File3
687 counts the number of lines in File1, File2 and File3 and displays the sum.
