AmigaOS 4.0 - About OS4 - Commands

CONCLIP AmigaDOS
Purpose: Enable cut/copy/paste functionality in console windows and string gadgets.
Format: CONCLIP [ [UNIT | CLIPUNIT] <unitnumber>] [ON | OFF]
Template: CLIPUNIT=UNIT/N, ON/S, OFF/S
Path: C:CONCLIP
Copy and paste operations in console windows will use the console's own private clipboard. While text can be exchanged between console windows, no other applications can access it.

CONCLIP changes this by switching the console over to use the regular, system-wide clipboard functionality. Also, cut/copy/paste operations in string gadgets can be switched over to use the system-wide clipboard.

UNIT <unitnumber> or CLIPUNIT <unitnumber> switches the clipboard unit number to use; default is 0.

ON and OFF, turn the clipboard functionality either on or off.

Example 1:

3.OS4:> CONCLIP UNIT 2
switches the clipboard unit number to unit 2.

Example 2:

3.OS4:> CONCLIP OFF
switches the CONCLIP functionality back to the console's own private clipboard.
