AmigaOS 4.0 - About OS4 - Commands

CLI System Program
Purpose: To execute a command using the Command Line Interface.
Format: CLI
Template: (none)
Path: SYS:System/CLI
CLI is the underlying command for the 'Execute Command' menu item from the Workbench.

When executed from the Workbench, CLI displays the following requester:

Simply clicking on Execute in this example will open a new Shell window, otherwise you can overtype the default with any command that you wish and execute that.

When executed from a Shell, CLI simply opens a new Shell:

Example: 3.OS4:> CLI opens a Shell.
