AmigaOS 4.0 - About OS4 - Commands

BINDDRIVERS Obsolete
Purpose: To bind device drivers to hardware.
Format: BINDDRIVERS
Template: (none)
Path: C:BINDDRIVERS

This command became obsolete with AmigaOS 4.0 Final - details shown for information only

BINDDRIVERS was used to load and run device drivers for add-on hardware that was automatically configured by the expansion library.

The device drivers must be in the SYS:Expansion directory, for BINDDRIVERS to find them.

BINDDRIVERS is normally placed in the Startup-sequence file. If drivers for expansion hardware are in the SYS:Expansion directory, you must have a BINDDRIVERS command in your Startup-sequence file or the hardware will not be configured when the system is booted.
