Amigas using the Advanced Graphics Architecture Chip Set employed the three types of Amiga memory - Kickstart ROM, CHIP RAM
and FAST RAM as follows:
| KICKSTART ROM |
The Kickstart ROM remained at 512K bytes using 2 chips (even and odd) as for the ECS chipset, but extra commands were added
to make programs easier to write and run faster.
|
| CHIP RAM |
Chip RAM remained the same with a maximum of 2 MB as for the ECS chipset, except that all machines were now supplied with
2Mb of Chip RAM, to satisfy AGA's appetite for Chip RAM
|
| FAST RAM |
The on-board maximum was 8M bytes of Fast RAM but more could be added with accellerator cards installed up to a maximum of
4 GB.
