As graphic and multimedia applications became even more intensive, especially following the release of the ECS machines,
Commodore eventually produced a chipset capable of matching the other machines of the day such as the evolving PC and
Macintosh computers. The chipset was known as the Advanced Graphics Architecture Chipset or "AGA".
