Billed as "the first true family computer", this machine was a variation of the A2000 which excluded the hard-drive and hard disk controller card, but came with two floppy disk drives. Apart from that it was a standard A2000, which could be easily upgraded by the addition of the hard-drive etc which most owners did within a relatively short time. However it was sold bundled with lots of software including a wordprocessor, spreadsheet, database package (Platinum Works), Deluxe Paint, Populous, SimCity, Their Finest Hour (flight sim) and Battle Chess.
